Kenya Muchagara AA - washed

Second washed KENYA !!

I  tried this coffee at Poma in Copenhagen. It was insanely juicy, with a flavour profile that tasted like pretty much everything RED – rhubarb, redcurrant, cranberry.... Exactly the kind of Kenyan coffee I love.

Muchagara comes from Kirinyaga, located on the slopes of Mount Kenya. The coffee is grown by local smallholder farmers at altitudes of around 1,600–1,800m  and processed at Muchagara washing station, which has been operating since 1959.

And the coffee itself? Incredibly juicy, bright and bursting with red fruit flavours. Think rhubarb, redcurrants, fresh red berries and a lovely sweetness that balances out its vibrant acidity. It's clean and refreshing.
